Introduction
This is a very thick and hearty soup.If you like a brothier soup then please feel free to add more water and/or broth.

Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs cubed ham
1 1/2 lbs frozen peas
1 lb small shell pasta
2 medium onions, chopped
3 stalks celery, chopped
15 medium baby carrots, chopped
4 cloves garlic, chopped
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbs fresh sage, chopped
1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
3.5 cups chicken broth
10 cups water
Directions
In a soup pot add the chopped veggies and broth.
Bring to a boil.
Add the cubed ham and the uncooked pasta.
Mix well.
Add 10 cups of water and bring back to the boil.
Boil about 15 minutes or until the pasta is tender.
Add the herbs, pepper and frozen peas.
Bring back to the boil.
Continue cooking until the peas are warmed through.
Makes 8 huge servings. (About 3 cups each)
