Ingredients
-
2 cans Tuna
2 Egg whites
little bit olive oil (maybe 3/4 tblsp)
herbs (rosemary, oregano, basil, fresh pressed garlic)
1/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup rolled oats
1, 8 oz can of Hunts Tomato sauce- Basil, garlic, oregano, flavored
mushrooms
chopped green and/or red peppers
low fat mozzarella cheese
optional: crushed red pepper, parmesean cheese
Directions
Crust:
Blend or Mix:
2 cans Tuna in water
2 Egg whites
little bit olive oil (maybe 1 tblsp)
herbs (rosemary, oregano, basil, fresh pressed garlic)
(I actually added some kidney beans in there, but they didn't blend very well, but was still good anyway, and it gave the appearance of olives in the crust, kind of like focaccia bread!)
Add (stir in):
1/2 cup whole wheat flour or rolled oats, or 1/4 cup of each (yeast or baking powder will work too)
adjust amount until mixture is doughy
Press onto a stone pizza cooker, Bake at 400 degrees for about 15 minutes until light brown
Top with:
1, 8 oz can of Hunts Tomato sauce- Basil, garlic, oregano, flavored
mushrooms
chopped green and/or red peppers
Sprinkle low fat mozzarella cheese over top
Bake another 15 min until crust is dark brown and ingredients are cooked and hot, and sauce is bubbling
Sprinkle crushed red pepper if desired on top before eating.
Makes 6 healthy size slices
