Ingredients

    2 lbs of fish cut into 1/1/2 inch pieces, marinated in ½ tsp of turmeric and 11/2 tsp salt.
    2 cups of yoghurt
    1-2 cups of water
    ½ tsp of turmeric
    2 tsp of coriander powder
    1 tsp of roasted jeera powder
    1 tbsp of besan
    1 tsp each of mustard, jeera, fennel seeds
    8-10 curry leaves
    ½ tsp of hing
    1 tsp of sugar
    Oil of seasoning
    Salt to taste

Directions

Mix first 6 ingredients in a bowl. Heat oil in a pan. When heated, add mustard, jeera and fennel seeds. Add hing and curry leaves. Immediately add the yoghurt mixture. Keep stirring till it gets to boiling. Add the fish pieces and let the curry simmer. Stir only once in the first couple of minutes, then let it cook for about 8 minutes.
Carefully transfer to a serving dish. Add cilantro (optional) for garnishing.
