Introduction

This is a good and simple recipe, it really doesn't need a lot of ingredients. But you can vary this recipe any way you like add garlic, fresh onions or bell peppers. Ingredients

    red kidney beans (dry packed beans)
    Roma tomatoes
    ground turkey
    tomato sauce
    seasoning salt or salt to taste
    black pepper to taste
    garlic power to taste

Directions

I soaked beans according to package directions, then put on to boil and reduce to simmer in water.. When beans are almost ready, brown turkey in a small skillet, add to beans. Nuked tomatoes in the microwave until the skin split, then discard of the skin. Chop tomatoes then add to the beans, add the tomato sauce to the beans. Add all seasonings once all ingredients are in the pot.

    worked great! I substitutes canned beans and diced tomatoes. added fresh garlic, thyme, and 1/2 red onion (diced). made enough for 8! will make again. - 12/29/09
