Introduction

Ingredients

    16 oz box of jumbo shells
    4 cups full fat milk ricotta
    1 pound mozzarella shredded
    6 cups favorite sauce
    (I used Rainbow garden tomato sauce, recipe in my list. I have also used Prego and contadina pizza sauce with good results)

Directions

cook shells as directed on box
drain and allow to cool to a temperature that you can stand to hold them at
spread half of sauce on bottom of pans(s)
spoon ricotta from container into shells
place in pan open side up
repeat untill all shells are full
cover with half the mozzarella
cover with remaining sauce
cover sauce with remaining mozzarella
bake at 350 for 45 minutes
allow to stand for 3-5 minutes before serving

makes 12 servings

    I've done something similar before but I add in turkey meatballs chopped up into chunks and stuff those in with the cheese. It adds more protein and makes it more substational - 2/21/09

    I haven't tried it yet, but this recips sounds delicious. I might add some spinach to the cheese to increase the veggies. I've definitely put the ingredients on my shopping list. - 2/21/09
