Number of Servings: 6


    # Beans, red kidney, 1100 grams
    # Smoked sausage, 110 grams
    # Bacon, 160 grams
    # Carrots, raw, 100 grams
    # Onions, raw, 380 grams
    # Tomato Sauce, 200 grams
    # Yellow Sweet Corn, Canned, 50 grams
    # Jalapeno Peppers, 1 pepper
    # Pepper, black, 1 tsp
    # Salt, 1 tsp
    # Green Peppers (bell peppers), 100 grams


Chop onion, carrots and fry them in a non stick pan together with the chopped up sausage.
put half of the beans in a oven proof dish, put corn and bellpepper on top and then poor the onions, carrots and sausage on top, salt, pepper.
Pour in the rest of the beans and top of with tomatosauce.
Bake in oven 220c for 35min, the last ten minutes put the braided bacon on top.
Serve with green salad and/or garlic bread, or mash, couscous.

    Follwed this for the most part but made some changes: 1 can Kidney beans, 1 can Pinto beans, 1 can Black beans, 1 can Diced tomatos. I used1 lb. Jimmy Dean sausage & 1/2 pound bacon. I sliced 1 full carrot then grated 2 more. Xfered to slow cooker after heating in the skillet. FANTASTIC! - 4/12/09
