Introduction

If you want skip the cinnamon and cloves and instead add 1 tsp lemon peel and or orange peel and craisens. Recommend you cut the craisens into smaller pieces. Ingredients

    Splenda 6 tablespoons
    Unbleached Flour / Spelt Flour recommended (calories for regular flour) 1 3/4 cup
    Quick cooking oats 1 1/3 cup
    Unsalted Butter 1/4 cup softened
    Salt 1/2 tsp
    Baking Soda 3/4 tsp
    Baking Powder 1 1/2 tsp
    Cinnamon 2 tsp
    Cloves 1/2 tsp
    Milk (fat free) 3/4 cup
    lemon juice 1 tbsp (makes milk like buttermilk, can skip this step)

Directions

Put flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt in bowl and mix lightly with fork. Add sugar and mix. Add softened butter, oats and use pastry cutter to get dough to be pea sized balls. Add milk little at a time until dough forms. May not need full amount of milk. If do not use all milk save to add to top with some real sugar for a treat. Mix ingredients together. Knead dough approximately 10 times. Pat out to a circle or roll with rolling pin in a small circle. Cut into 8 pie shaped pieces. Gently place on greased cooking sheet.

Cook in a 400 degree oven for approximately 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
