Introduction

A quick ground beef recipe that can be prepared in 30 minutes. A quick ground beef recipe that can be prepared in 30 minutes.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 lb Organic Ground Beef
    1 cup Celery diced
    1 tsp Ground Ginger
    0.12 tsp (pinch) Saffron
    1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
    4 oz (0.25 cup) Water
    1 Small Hot Pepper
    3 cloves Garlic, crushed
    1/2 cup Onions, diced

Directions

Brown the ground beef first and then remove from pan. Use the fat rendered from the beef to brown garlic and onion. Then add other ingredients, including the browned ground beef, back into the pan and cook for another 20 minutes.

When our college son comes home, we prepare this without the onions because he doesn't like onions. You can also use dried crushed red pepper flakes in place of the fresh hot red pepper.

We like to make this a day or two ahead so it can sit and develop the flavors.

We serve this over brown rice.

Makes 4 servings or 1 serving for college age son.
