Ingredients

    1 lb Barilla Elbow Macaroni (whole wheat if u prefer)
    1 lb 93% lean groudn beef
    16 oz tomato juice
    1 large can stewed tomatoes
    1/2 cup chopped onion

Directions

boil pasta as directed. cook ground beef with onions, adding salt and pepper to taste. mix cooked beef, drained pasta, tomato juice, stewed tomatoes and sugar in large pot. simmer until hot. add sald and pepper to taste. makes 8 servings

    You mention sugar in the directions but not the ingredients. This sounds similar to my aunt Evelyn's recipe. I'm trying it. - 4/24/09
