Ingredients

    2 cups chick peas
    2 cloves garlic
    2 TBS tahini
    3 TBS lemon Juice
    3 TBS water
    2 TBS olive oil
    1/ tsp salt
    1 TBS cumin

Directions

Mince garlic in food processor

Add all other ingredients

Process until smooth

Makes 2 cups

  • I'm very new to this site andthis is the first recipe I tried and it came out great. I had to change it a bit instead of cumin I used curry powder and put in a half of onion. It came out great! thanks - 9/1/11

  • Wonderful basic hummus. I made this just as the recipe specified. The nutrition is calculated for a serving size of 2 and 2/3 Tablespoons. You might want to have more and calculate your nutrition accordingly if using as a dip. :-) - 8/10/10
