Introduction
I use whatever nut I have in the house, along with whatever bran (sometimes oat, sometimes wheat) and sometimes throw in some ground flax seed. The powdered milk gived it an extra protein kick. Ingredients

1.5 cups almonds, chopped
4 cups Old Fashioned rolled oats
1 cup wheat or oat bran
1 cup nonfat dry powdered milk
3/4 cup honey
3/4 cup canola oil
1/4 cup water
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp almond extract
1/2 tsp salt
Directions
Put almonds, oats, and bran in large bowl. In a separate bowl, mix powdered milk, honey, oil, water, extracts and salt. Stir Honey mixture into oat mixture. Spread on 2 baking sheets lined with parchment, tin foil, or a silpat baking mat. Bake at 325 degrees for 15 minutes. Stir, bake for 10 to 15 mintues more, until granola is golden brown.
Makes 10 cups.
