Introduction

Enhanced with protein powder! Enhanced with protein powder!
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    1 small, sliced frozen banana
    1/2 cup sliced frozen strawberries
    30 frozen blueberries
    1 cup Silk light soymilk
1 level scoop Designer Whey strawberry protein powder

Directions

I make this shake at least once a day, usually right after I come back from the gym. This is a great recovery shake because it is loaded with protein and has a solid amount of carbs from the fruit. I use light soymilk because it is healthier than nonfat milk, although it can be substituted. I make this in the Magic Bullet blender, as the mugs are the perfect size for this recipe and it purees the fruit instantly.

First, I put half the soymilk in the blender. Then I add all of the fruit. Next I add the protein powder and finally pour the rest of the soymilk on top. I found that layering the protein powder mixes it up the best. Blend for 10 seconds, shake it up and blend for 10 seconds. Enjoy!

    Incredible!
This was very good! I often have problems getting my protein shakes down. Since I was under my calorie budget for the day, I made this for my last shake (usually my shakes are made with water cause of calories). This was so good, I think I will try to be under my calorie count more often. - 4/22/07
