Ingredients

    1 c white flour
    1 c wheat flour
    1/4 c wheat germ
    1/4 c ground flaxseed
    2 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp baking soda
    1 c white sugar
    2/3 c shortening
    2 eggs
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 c mashed bananas
    1 c semisweet chocolate chips
    1 c butterscotch chips

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease cookie sheets.
2. Sift flours, wheat germ, flaxseed, baking powder, salt, and baking soda together. Set aside.
3. Cream shortening with sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Mix in bananas. Add flour mixture, stirring just until combined. Stir in chips. Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheets.
4. Bake in preheated oven for 8-10 minutes.

Yields 4 dozen cookies.
