Introduction

This is healthy oatmeal in a cookie form. This is not a particularly sweet cookie but it is healthy and a good breakfast option for when you're bored of the same old cereal or oatmeal. Ingredients

    1 cup whole wheat flour
    1.25 cup quick cooking oats
    .5 tsp baking soda
    .5 tsp baking powder
    .5 tsp salt
    1 tbsp cinnamon
    1 banana mashed
    .5 cup applesauce
    2 tsp ground flax seed
    2 tbsp water

Directions

In a small bowl combine the flaxseed with the water and let it set while combining the other ingredients.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix dry ingredients in one bowl and wet ingredients in another bowl (include the brown sugar).
Add flaxseed mixture to wet ingredients and stir to combine.
Mix the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients being careful not to overmix.
Make 2 tbsp sized cookies on a gently sprayed cookie sheet (should make between 15-18 cookies). Press down to flatten cookies.

Bake until bottom is browned, about 12 minutes.
