Ingredients

    1 large head of iceberg lettuce OR
    3 heads of Romaine
    1 c. finely chopped celery
    1 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. sliced water chestnuts, chopped
    1 1/2 c. frozen peas, thawed
    1 1/2 c. Miracle Whip Free
    1 c. fresh shredded parmesan cheese
    1/2 c. Hormel bacon bits
    2 boiled eggs
    2 vine-ripened tomatoes

Directions

In a 13" x9" pan, tear up the lettuce. Layer the celery, onion, water chestnuts, and peas on top. "Frost" with the Miracle Whip with a rubber spatula. Sprinkle evenly with the parmesan cheese and the bacon bits. Quarter your tomoatoes and boiled eggs into wedges. Alternated egg and tomato wedges on top in rows to indicate 12 servings. (3 in each of 4 rows.) Allow to refrigerated for an hour or so and cut with a metal spatula for easier serving.
