Introduction

One of hubby's favorite childhood dishes. It is from his Hungarian grandmother and has probably been adapted with the hot dogs. One of hubby's favorite childhood dishes. It is from his Hungarian grandmother and has probably been adapted with the hot dogs.
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    2 T olive oil
    1 small onion chopped
    3 large bell peppers chopped
    3 large potatoes chopped
    6 large tomatoes chopped
    1/8 cup sugar
    1 package Hebrew national hot dogs

Directions

saute onion and pepper until softened
add potatoes, tomatoes and sugar and bring to boil, then reduce to simmer for 90 minutes or so until all veggies are soft
chop hot dogs into bite sized pieces and mix in to cook for another 30 minutes or so.

Makes approximately 12 large servings of about 1.5 cups each.
