This is not low fat, but it is a bright, happy, chewy lemony cookie that is a real treat. Made for Mother's day!
Incredibly moist. My hubby said it was absolutely perfect! Can't beat that.
Found this recipe on a nutrition book and would like to share it. It taste really good, plus I did some changes to lower the calories
This recipe was found on allrecipes.com and made with just a few alterations. I usually use raw sugar and sometimes wheat flour, which would change the nutritional value. I also use the juice from the lemon after I zest it instead of lemon extract, but you can substitute extract if you want. For less of a lemon flavor, cut it down to 1/2 tsp. You can also use plain yogurt instead of vanilla yogurt.
Also, the icing adds about 20 calories per cookie. They taste good either way, so if you're making them for yourself feel free to leave it out.
More vanilla and a touch of molasses allows you to decrease the sugar content and still have a tasty snack.
Try this yummy dessert alternative! Your guest will LOVE them! Mine always do.
This is a high fat banana bread, I just want to know how much specifically.
