This is a take on a classic banana bread with reduced sugar and fat, added flax meal, and poppy seeds for a tasty twist. Note that you may want to add a tbsp of water to the batter (especially if you mix too long) to get the batter to the correct consistency before backing. Otherwise, your bread could be too dry or crumbly.
I suggest adding the ingredients in the order listed below. No need to use a power mixer if you don't want to do so.
Classic powdered sugar balls without all the carbs - about 8 net carbs per 3 cookie serving. You could further reduce the carbs by using artificial sweetener.
I tried to make a low carb rhubarb desert without adding a sugar substitute but instead with a little real sugar and sweet raspberries you could add a little sugar substitute if you wish.
Nutritional values include pizza dough and icing only. Fruit not included. Top pizza with any fresh or canned fruit but be sure to add calories for the fruit. I didn't add the fruit in the nutritional value as fruit on hand always changes.
Richard's Makover Banana Bread is low calorie and low carbohydrate. Low sugar if sugar is replaced by splenda. Easy make and great taste.
