Yummy and Authentic New England Chowda - add old bay seasoning to taste. You could make it lower in fat and calories by eliminating the butter and sweating the onions in a little bit of the stock and using a lower fat milk and fat free evaporated milk. This recipe is how I make it though as I prefer a thin chowder made with whole milk and believe that every chowder needs a little butter.
