WW POINTS: 4 May substitute an Asian Pear for the apple and dried cherries for the cranberries if desired. The POINTS Value remains the same.
Oh no, another fried okra recipe! Yes, but this one is different. It uses crushed cashew nuts (which if you can't buy locally, can be substituted) and toasted wheat germ and sesame seeds for added fiber. My boys all love it and it's eaten up every time I make it.
I also added 1/4 tsp guar gum (it makes it raise up a bit instead of being flatter, but you don't need it)
Less fatting than original But the butter adds to the flavor.
A friend likes it when I substitue chiles for fresh peas.
(Original called for whole milk or heavy cream and more butter.)
This is a super easy recipe that is great for holidays, church meals, or a side dish to a bereaved family or person recovering from a surgery or illness
A yummy pasta salad with sun dried tomatoes and veggies. Using fat free Miracle Whip and low fat feta cheese will make this relatively low fat.
2 loaves of bread from scratch. Soft and delicious, this is a no-fail recipe!
Recipe courtesy Stephanie March (Mrs. Bobby Flay). She makes these for Bobby's birthday every year.
Note: This recipe has been revised from the original to lower the fat content.
This is my favorite pizza crust recipe. You can make it in matter of minutes. You can double to make a larger or thicker crust. I have also made mini crusts & froze them to use in the toaster oven. I update the amount of water, should have been 1/2 not 1/3. Slowly add water till you have a dough. May need less or more.
Quick failsafe light bread that can be baked as muffins or small bread loaf. Subtle favors are great with butter. Low in fat and cholesterol.

Whole wheat banana and apple waffles with flax seed meal. Homemade applesauce is used as substitute for butter along with flaxseed meal. Easily frozen so you can put them in your toaster later.
Great alternative to fried rice that tastes just like the real thing! My husband didn't even know there was egg substitute in it :)
