Holidays are not the holidays without our family's favorite treat. This is my grandmother's recipe and thanks to the miracle of freezing things, it can be made all year. Freezing the cranberries does not hurt them for this recipe. Recipe doubles easily.

I love ranch dressing and wanted to come up with a way of making it tase good but at the same time not have so many calories. It is runny enough that I pack 2 tbsp in a covered container for work and when ready I pour it over my salad and shake my salad to distribute the dressing through out the whole salad.

Cold pasta salad, great for summer!

Good and easy! Can make a day ahead and refrigerate. Plan on refrigerating at least a few hours before serving. Can be served chilled or at room temperature.

I got this recipe from Chef Al at the cafe where I work. The grilling of the cucumber to get that smoky char flavor is what really makes this salad.
