I've tried to update this recipe. My mother made this for us in my childhood with sugar instead of Splenda. She also used our own goat's milk. At that time I was responsible for several chores. I milked and cared for our goats and I helped Dad chop and store the wood for our wood burning stove. The original recipe was a much needed fuel for that kind of activity. Not so anymore. I can't remember the last time a gallon of milk ran away from me when I tried to open it! LOL!
Great cold as a salad or salsa or heated up on Chicken or Rice.
