I make this Japanese recipe too. Note: to reduce the calories a lot just spray the pan you use, place some cabbage in bottom of pan first, crack eggs, put more cabbage on top, and drizzle with soy sauce! That's the Japanese recipe and how I make it all the time. cheddar can be added too.
