I'm okay with ditching the onions--saving calories, too.
Love it and not many calories
I made this with lots of fresh onions added to it. I also use frozen beans. It was great. You can even skip the french fried onions or carmelize fresh ones in a skillet and use as a topping to control the fats.
The extra mushrooms added that extra yumminess! I used canned green beans that were salted and it cooked perfectly in the time stated. I did have the oven on 325 since another dish required that temp.
This dish was good and easy to make, however I found that buying the canned green beans that are unsalted was just no good. It needs salt b/c otherwise, it just tasted like water to me. I just added salt to my portion and it was good!
