A frozen banana would make it thicker, I would skip the honey and add stevia - 8/22/12

I think using FAGE nonfat plain Greek yogurt instead of Cottage Cheese would be pretty good. :-) - 9/13/12

I see no reason to use the honey or really any kind of sweetner. With fruit, who really needs it. - 11/8/12

This was very good. Loved the texture. My extened family are blueberry farmers and I have a lot of frozen in the freezer. Great application for these. I did freeze the banana ahead of time. I only put half of the honey and it was plenty sweet enough. - 9/27/12

I always add a scoop of protein powder to any smoothies I make so there is a better balance of carbs and protein. Doesn't change the taste. - 9/10/12

to cut down on cottage cheese taste, use half cottage cheese, half Greek yogurt and cut back on milk as it would get too watery... would use frozen banana and sweetener instead of honey and add ground flax seed for nutritional benefits - 4/15/21

Use one cup Plain fat free Kefir in place of the cottage cheese and add one to two packs of stevia in place of the sweetener. This makes it more tangy and just as tasty - 11/29/12

I would like this but I know that there is a lot of salt in cottage cheese. Which is too bad as I used to love cottage cheese. - 11/13/12

I think the point of the "unthawed" blueberries is that you are supposed to use them still frozen :)

Wow that is high in calories 192 for a single serving for a quick and easy snack, it is closer to a meal. There are easier ways to mix banana and blueberries with less calories for sure. No Thanks Pat in Maine. - 11/8/12

This actually sounds good, but I'd add a scoop of protein powder for both thickness and more of a carb/protein balance. And I'd also omit the honey and use a little Stevia, instead. - 11/8/12

Small grammer clarification: Recipe says to "unthaw" frozen blueberries. Correct term is THAW or "unfreeze." To "unthaw" would be to re-freeze. - 11/8/12

too much sodium for me - I prefer to use Fage 0% Greek yogurt as Zuheyy mentions and freezing the banana as others recommend is also a good tip. Almond milk works fine too as a sub for regular milk. A little vanilla or almond extract is good. - 10/6/12

I changed the skim milk for shaved ice. Not sure why but I did.
    I liked it very much.
