Introduction

I love congealed salads! This is a light great dessert or side dish if you are watching your calories and fat grams. I actually make with regular gelatin any flavor and used crushed pineapple in it's own juice with fat free whipped cream so the calories shown are really less. You can add fat free cottage cheese for a different twist as part of the buttermilk. Great flavor as well. I love congealed salads! Ingredients

    1 large can of crushed pineapple in it's own juice
    2 small boxes of flavored gelatin
    2 cups fat free buttermilk
    1 8oz tub of fat free whipped topping

Directions

1.Open large size can of pineapple (crushed) and place in a large sauce pan making sure to keep juice as well in saucepan.

2.Add 2 small boxes of any flovor jello in dry state to the pineapple mixture. (DO NOT ADD ANY WATER) (I love cherry in this dessert) Bring to a boil and make sure all gelatin is desolved. Set off eye of stove to cool.

3. When pineapple mixture isroom temperature add 2 cups fat free buttermilk. stir until incorporated.

4. Next add 8 oz tub of fat free whipped topping. Stir until incorporated.

5.Pour mixture in a 9 X 13 pan and place in refrigerator until set. Enjoy.

Makes 9 servings.
