This is a spicy and hearty chili...great for a cold day. Add it to a baked potato, in a bread bowl or it's good all by itself. Enjoy This is a spicy and hearty chili...great for a cold day. Add it to a baked potato, in a bread bowl or it's good all by itself. EnjoyNumber of Servings: 8
Ingredients
-
19oz Ground turkey
1 can kidney beans
1 can black beans
1 can pinto beans
2 can diced tomatoes (no salt added)
3 red vine tomatoes diced
1 yellow pepper chopped
1 red pepper chopped
1/2 - 1 white onion
2 tbsp minced garlic
1/2 can of corn
2 tbsp chili powder
1tbsp cumin
1 tsp cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes
1 tbsp Mrs. Dash
1 tbsp Garlic pepper
Directions
Makes 8 1cup servings
In your biggest sauce pan...Brown the meat first and then add peppers, onions and garlic with the seasonings. By doing it in this order you can keep the fat down because you don't have to add oil. After meat is cooked and veggies have softened (about 10-15 min) add the tomatoes with the juice, stir and then rinse and then add the beans and the 3 pepperocinis and a tbsp of the juice. Cook on med/high for 1 hour with lid on and stir occasionally. Reduce heat to low and cook another 45min and then remove lid and cook another 15-30 min., it just depends how thick you would like your chili.
