Introduction

Basic split pea soup with real bacon! Basic split pea soup with real bacon!
Number of Servings: 5

Ingredients

    Frozen Peas - 16 oz
    Bacon - two slices
    Garlic - 2 Cloves
    Agave Nectar - 1 tbsp
    Better Than Boullion Chicken Stock Base - 1 tsp
    Water - 4 cups (give or take)
    Black Pepper - To taste
    A few pinches of - Rosemary, Parsley and bay leaves

Directions

Cook Bacon until Crispy and strain.

Toss crushed garlic cloves right in and once it smells, it is time to add the water.

Add water and bring to a boil.

Add chicken stock.

Add Agave Nectar.

Let simmer for about an hour.

Pour into blender and puree in batches.

Serving Size: makes a medium pot that makes about five - 2 cup servings
