Ingredients

    Tomatoes, red, ripe, raw, year round average, 1 cup, chopped
    Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped
    Green Peppers (bell peppers), 0.25 cup, chopped
    Jalapeno Peppers, 2 pepper
    Lemon Juice, 1 lemon yields
    Cilantro, raw, 4 tbsp
    Kosher Salt, .25 tsp

Tips

Pico de Gallo does better when it has a day for the flavors to incorporate, so be patient and make a day ahead of time if you can!


Directions

Remove seeds from peppers if desired. (Leaving in the hot pepper seeds contributes greatly to the heat of the dish. You may use any hot pepper desired) Finely chop all vegetables and place in a medium bowl. Squeeze juice of a lemon into the mix, add fresh cilantro. Sprinkle with kosher salt to taste. For best results, let sit for at least 4-12 hours in the refrigerator for flavors to marry. Serve with chips, tacos, or on meat for a delicious meal!
