Ingredients

    1.5 pound ground beef - lean
    1 chopped onion
    2 tomato soup - low sodium
    1 packet spaghetti sauce mix
    1 cup ketchup
    1 cup mushroom
    1 tsp. garlic salt
    10 ounces spaghetti noodles (whole wheat)
    2 eggs beaten
    1/3 cup fresh parmesan cheese
    1/2 stick promise butter
    1/4 cup sugar or substitute
    mozzarella cheese
    1 Large carton cottage cheese

Directions

Makes 12 servings

* Start boiling water and cook spaghetti

Brown and drain meat with onion

Add soup, ketchup, mushrooms, sauce mix and garlic salt

Simmer briefly

Mix beaten eggs, parmesan and butter into noodles

Grease 13x9 pan

Layer noodles first, cottage cheese 2nd and beef mixture on top

Bake at 350 for 45 - 1 hour

Top with mozzarella during the last 4 minutes

    I have made a similar recipe from my aunt before and it's SO GOOD! :-) It would be good with ground turkey too. - 1/28/08
