Ingredients

    Beef, top sirloin, 12 oz
    Ground beef, 16 oz
    Green Peppers (bell peppers), 1.5 cup chopped
    Onions, raw, 1.5 cup, chopped
    Red Ripe Tomatoes, 2 cup
    ground cumin, 2 tsp
    Garlic powder, 1.5 tsp
    Onion powder, 1 tsp
    Pepper, red or cayenne, 2 tsp
    Oregano, ground, 2 Tbsp
    Paprika, 1 tsp
    Pepper, black, 1 tsp
    salt, 1 tsp
    dried cilantro, 1 Tbsp

Tips

This is a very mildly spiced version, to accommodate a palate that doesn't like a lot of heat. Play with the level of spice to suit yourself. Chiles can also be added to make it hotter, to your own taste.


Directions

Brown meat in skillet with bell peppers and onions, drain off excess fat. Add spices and tomatoes, simmer until tomatoes have gone soft.
