Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    Smoked Ham Hock, 20 oz
    48 oz organic chicken broth
    Garlic, 2 clove
    2 cups chopped carrot
    2 cups chopped onion
    4 cups split green peas

Tips

For a thinner soup add more broth or water until desired consistency is achieved

Goes Great with corn bread!
This soup freezes well in sealed freezer container!


Directions

Turn Crock Pot on Low
Place ham hock (frozen or thawed) in crock pot
Rinse Peas in cool water-pick out any dark/discolored peas-discard, put peas in crock pot
Chopped onion, carrot, garlic add to crock pot
Cover all ingredients with chicken broth if any extra liquid is needed to cover add more broth or water
Place cover on Pot

Let cook on low for apx 6 hours, remove bones from soup and break meat into small chunks. Stir soup to mix ingredients and serve
