Ingredients

1.5 cup bulgur
1 medium onion
1.5 tablespoons of cooking oil
1 tablespoon tomato paste (tomatoes can be used instead)
warm water
Salt
optional-hot green peppers or dried red/cayenne pepper-optional
Directions
Put dry bulgur in warm water to soften.
Put any kind of oil (not more than 5 tablespoon) in the pan, chop onions in the size you like and saute until semi-transparent.
Drain the water from the bulgur and add the bulgur to the pan.
Add one tablespoon of tomato paste, salt and 1 cup of water (the amount of water depends on the type of bulgur you use)
Cover the pan, cook for 10-15 mins (until the water is gone and the bulgur is soft) on low heat.
Serve warm. (optional-with plain fat-free yogurt)
use pepper (add when sauteing the onions) if you like spicy dishes.
