Ingredients

1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
    2 cups of water
    2 teaspoons of all spice
    2 teaspoons of salt
    2 teaspoons of pepper
    1 medium onion chopped finely
    2 tablespoons tomato paste
1.5 cups of cracked bulgur wheat (easily found in middle eastern stores)
250 grams of lean ground beef

Directions

Makes 6 1 cup servings -- can also be made vegetarian by omitting the ground beef.

Heat olive oil in pot. Add onions and cook until tender. Add ground beef and spices and salt and pepper and cook until brown.

Add the tomato paste and tomatoes and stir. Mix completely well. Add bulgur wheat and stir for a minute or two.

Add water, make sure the mixture is completely immersed under the water. If it is not you can add more water until it is.

Cover and cook through until the bulgur wheat is fluffy and tender around 15 minutes.
