Introduction
My first attempt at a quiche was delish... I altered and combined a couple of recipes to create this one. My first attempt at a quiche was delish... I altered and combined a couple of recipes to create this one.Number of Servings: 8
Ingredients

3 eggs
1 1/2 cups of half & half
ready made pie crust
1 can mushrooms (drained)
1 medium onion (sliced)
6 slices of bacon
1 1/2 cups of cheese (I used a Mexican blend of 4 cheeses)
1 tpspn of flour
salt/pepper/spices to taste
Directions
Bake pie crust for 8 minutes at 450 degrees after lining with a double layer of foil. Remove foil and bake for another 4-5 minutes until golden.
Reduce oven to 325 degrees. Cook bacon until crisp. Take only 2 tbspns of bacon grease and cook the sliced onion until tender. Add bacon (crumbled), onion and mushrooms to the following mixture: eggs, half & half, salt/pepper to taste. Combine cheese and flour in another dish.
Add egg mixture to the cheese mixture - stir.
Our into pie crust and bake for 40 minutes or until a knife inserted into the middle comes out clean. Let it stand for 10 minutes before slicing.
