Introduction
Delicious, but not for the gluten-sensitive! Delicious, but not for the gluten-sensitive!Number of Servings: 4
Ingredients
-
120 grams Vital wheat gluten
1 tbsp Paprika
1 tsp Garlic powder
1 dash Pepper, black
1 serving Better than Bouillon Mushroom Base (by LIVING4TODAY)
.75 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
2 tbsp Skippy Natural Creamy Peanut Butter
1 tsp Liquid Smoke (by MRSDUDLEY)
1 tbsp Kikkoman Less Sodium Soy Sauce
16 tbsp Kraft Thick & Spicy BBQ Sauce (by HARLEQUINN16)
2 serving Bragg - Premium Nutritional Yeast Seasoning (1Tbsp/5g)
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease a baking sheet and set aside.
2. In a medium bowl, mix the dry ingredients.
3. In a small bowl, whisk the water, bouillon, peanut butter, Liquid smoke, and soy sauce. Pour wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix to form a dough. Dump dough onto the counter and knead for 3 minutes.
4. Shape dough into a flat shape about 3/4 inch thick, and transfer to baking sheet. Use a knife to make one-inch slices across the dough: no need to cut all the through, as this is to help separate the ribs.
5. Place in oven and bake 25 minutes. Remove from oven and turn on broiler or grill. If using the broiler, do not take your eyes off it, even for a minute or else it could burn to a crisp! While waiting for the broiler to heat up, brush both sides with bbq sauce. Place under the broiler or grill and cook each side until desired result.
