Introduction

The addition of turkey reduces fat and actually adds flavor. Morton Lite Salt is a mixture of Potassium and Sodium with iodine. We use this in addition to reducing the amount used to reduce sodium in our diet. Please consult your doctor about it's use to confirm that the potassium will not interfere with medications, and be careful not to overdo it. Increase or decrease other herbs to taste. 32 oz Beef, 90% Lean Ground Beef from Sirloin

0.65 cup Quaker Oats - Quick 1 Minute - Dry
    2 tsp Oregano, ground
2 tsp Basil, dried ground (by MELISSA_X0)
    1 tsp Onion powder
    1 tsp Garlic powder
1 serving Salt: Morton, Lite Salt Mixture, 1/4 tsp (1.4g)/serving
    2 tsp Parsley, dried
0.5 tsp Black Pepper, freshly ground (by MATMAN823)

Tips

You could finish off the meatballs in a slow cooker rather than the oven if you like, but it would just add to the cooking time. I usually add the cooked meatballs to my spaghetti sauce about 20-30 minutes before serving to add flavor to the sauce and the meatballs.

Directions

Mix all ingredients thoroughly, then sear over medium heat on all sides. Finish cooking in the oven at 325F for about 10-15 minutes.

Serving Size: Makes about 45 1" to 1-1/4" meatballs. Nutrients are calculated by the meatball; but a reasonable serving would probably be 2-3.
