Ingredients

one pound elbow macaroni, pound of american cheese (can use low fat singles works great), 1/4 stick of butter (or smart balance butter spread), 1 cup milk (i suggest 2%), 1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs (4C is the best)
Directions
Preheat oven to 400
Boil noodles till al dente. (salt water)
In a 9x13 pan/caserole dish start with a thin layer of milk. Just enough to coat the bottom. Then one layer of pre boiled elbows only one or 2 noodles thick. Layer on slices of cheese careful not to overlap. Place a dime size amount of butter on each slice of cheese. Drizzle lightly with milk and repeat. Upon the top layer do only noodles and cheese. Dust with bread crumbs. For a Nice brown top do not cover with lid or foil and spray with non stick cook spray.
Filling enough to make a meal of and GREAT for bbq's!
