This is a simple and quick dish for any occasion. It looks and tastes great! Its a wonderful side for when guests come over. You can use any type of bacon. I have used normal breakfast bacon in the past but have found that I prefer turkey bacon or meatless bacon for the same result and less fat. This is a simple and quick dish for any occasion. Ingredients

    Asparagus, Fresh about 25-27 spears
    Turkey Bacon 9 slices
    Lemon Pepper seasoning (the no salt kind)
    Garlic Powder
    cooking rack
    flat large cookie sheet (the kind with sides)

Directions

lay the asparagus out flat on a pan. Sprinkle it with the garlic powder and the lemon pepper to taste. Wrap 3 spears of asparagus in raw bacon. Repeat this until you are out of bacon and asparagus. Place on a rack, place rack on the large cookie sheet. (the rack is really needed to keep your asparagus from swimming in any grease produced by the bacon. you get the bacon flavor but not the grease this way. ) Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the bacon is fully cooked. makes 9 bundles give or take an asparagus stalk.
