Ingredients
-
1 recipe or pkg (1 ball = 1 serving) homemade bread dough or refrigerated bread dough
1 pound 93% lean ground beef, browned and drained
8 ounces Kraft 2% Mild cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup chopped red bell pepper
*Onions, dehydrated flakes, 3 tbsp
Directions
Brown ground beef with dehydrated onion, drain well when browned. Saute bell pepper until done. Mix with beef and cool. Mix in grated cheese when beef mixture is cooled. Set aside.
Pinch off 8 equal balls of risen bread dough, about the size of a large golf ball. Roll out until approximately 8 inches around. Place beef mixture in the center of dough and then fold dough in and pinch together to seal. It will be basically round in shape. Turn over and place on a cookie sheet sprayed with cooking spray and place a slit in the center of the patty to allow steam to escape. Spray tops with cooking spray and place in a preheated 350 degree oven. Bake approximately 30 - 45 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to rest 5 minutes before serving and cutting into the patties.
Makes 8 patties.
