Ingredients

    93% Lean Ground Beef, 1 pound
    Yellow Peppers (bell peppers), 1/4 pepper, large (3-3/4" long, 3" dia) , diced small
    Minced Onion, 1 TBSP
    Mushrooms, fresh, 1 medium, diced
    Picante Sauce, about 1 cup
    Chili powder, 4 tbsp
    Pepper, red or cayenne, 1 tbsp
    Organic Brown Sugar, 3 tsp unpacked
    Sea Salt, to taste

    Serve over whole grain buns, not counted in nutrient information.

Directions

Begin to brown the ground beef in a medium skillet.

When the meat is about 80% browned, add the yellow bell pepper, onion, and mushroom.

Season with the chili powder, red pepper, brown sugar and sea salt.

Continue to brown the meat, stirring often, until the meat is evenly browned.

Stir in the Picante Sauce, cover to heat through.

Spoon over buns and smack your lips.
