Introduction

Recipe borrowed from Jenna from Eat Live Run blog which she adapted from Oh She Glows bars.; didn't include the hemp seed. Recipe borrowed from Jenna from Eat Live Run blog which she adapted from Oh She Glows bars.; didn't include the hemp seed.
Number of Servings: 16

Ingredients

    1/2 cup Honey
    1/4 cup Peanut Butter (smooth)
    1 1/2 cup Oats
    1/4 cup ground flax
    2 tsp vanilla extract
    1.5 tsp ground cinnamon
    2 tbsp dark chocolate chips

Directions

----Heat honey and peanut butter until they simmer
----Put the remaining ingredients in a bowl
----After the honey and peanut butter simmer, pour the combo over the other ingredients
----Allow mixture to cool!!!
----Mix with hands
----Pour into greased square bake pan, wet hands and spread the mixture evenly in the pan.
----Chill in the freezer for 20 minutes
----Makes 16 small squares

Too make less gooey, feel free to add more oats and take out some chocolate chips. I've also added some coffee grounds for a kick!

    I love this recipe and it's so easy to play around with. I used puffed brown rice instead of oats and raisins/craisins instead of choc chips. Also, crushed nuts instead of the flax. - 9/6/09

    Okay, I took out the choc. chips and added some p'kin & sunflower seeds and fruit spread (lower in cals and sugar than preserves) in the hopes it would taste like a PB&J(my binge food of choice, I can eat 4 at one time, really.)Oh...my...goodness!! Incredible!
    I am sure chips would be dangerous!
