Ingredients
-
Apples, fresh, 2 medium to large
Ground cinnamin, 1 Tablespoon
Brown Sugar, about 1/2 cup
Granulated Sugar, 2 tsp
Ground Nutmeg 1 tsp
Raisins, 1 cup, packed
Eggs 2 large
Milk, 2%, 1 cup
Flour, 1/2 cup
Directions
Using a 9 by 9 inch baking pan sprayed with your favorite nonstick preservative, slice the apples thinly to cover the bottom generously leaving nothing to show through, I even prefer to double the layer, sprinkle the raisins over the apples evenly, then the sugar, cinnamin, nutmeg, and brown sugar. Place in the oven at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes until the sugars are bubbling and apples are begining to go limp. Remove from oven, in a bowl mix the eggs, milk, and flour, should be the constistancy of pancake batter but will be a little lumpy and that is OK. Pour over the apples evenly and place back in the oven at 300 degrees for about another 15 minutes until golden brown around the edges and it will rise up just like a pastry. Once done pull out and let cool down and cut up in serving sizes. Added with some fruit this is a wonderfly healthy and delisouse breakfast and don't forget that it stores well! My Grandkids ask for apple pie suprise every time they come over and yours will too!
