Ingredients

Plain white flour, 225 g/ 8oz
Margarine, 125 gram/ 4 oz
2 - 3 tbsp water
Egg, fresh, 2 medium
Milk, nonfat, 1 cup/ 1/2 pint
Cheddar or Colby Cheese, Low Fat, 4 oz grated
Broccoli, (frozen, fresh anyway) about 8 - 10 oz
Salt, 2 dash optional
Pepper, black, 2 dash optional
Directions
Preheat oven to 190 degrees C, and grease a quiche dish or flatish pyrex dish.
First - make the pastry, rub the butter into the flour until it looks like small breadcrumbs. Add the water a bit at a time and mould into a dough. Roll out into a flat round shape, and put into greased dish, trimming edges neatly.
For the filling, blanch the broccoli in boiling water for 2 - 3 minutes, drain very well, then chop into pieces and arrange in pastry dish. Beat eggs and milk together and add seasoning before pouring into pastry base. Sprinkle grated cheese on top.
Place in centre of oven for about 40- 45 minutes, or until the filling has all set. Cuts into 6 tasty pieces. Enjoy hot or cold.
