Introduction

You need a breadmaker to make this tasty savoury loaf - great for sandwiches. You can add more herbs to make it extra herby, but the herb flavour here is kept subtle to enhance the flavours of whatever fillings you will choose for your sandwiches. *Please note the herbs are all dried herbs and you can use whatever blend you please.* You need a breadmaker to make this tasty savoury loaf - great for sandwiches. Ingredients

    In this order, add to your bread maker bowl.

    1 tsp fast action yeast
    400 g Strong wholemeal flour
    1 tbsp olive oil
    1 tbsp low fat milk powder
    1 tbsp sugar (or granulated sugar substitute)
    1/4 tsp vit C powder (or two Vit C tablets crushed)
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp dried oregano
    1 tsp dried basil
    1 tsp black pepper
    300 ml water (pref room temperature)

Directions

Add ingredients to bread maker bowl and set on to wholemeal setting (usually 5 hours) and away you go.

The herb flavour is subtle to enhance the flavours of whatever fillings you will choose for your sandwiches.

Makes 15 generous slices.
