Ingredients

    1.5 c whole wheat flour
    1 c oats
    1/3 c sugar
    1 Tbl bak powder
    1 tsp salt
    Spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, etc.)
    3/4 nonfat milk or soymilk
    1/4 c 100% fruit juice (oj, apple cider, etc.)
    1 egg (or 2 egg whites)
    1/4 c canola oil
    1 tsp extract (vanilla, maple, almond, etc.)
    1/2 c plain nonfat yogurt (or pumpkin or other fruit puree)
    1 cup fruit or berries

Directions

Makes 1 dozen muffins
Bake for 20 minutes at 400 degree oven
Combine dry ingredients
Combine wet ingredients
Fold together and add fruit or berries
Divide into muffin tins
Sprinkle 1/2 tsp of turbinado or sugar in the raw on top and bake.
