This is adapted from Rachael Ray Mag - Cauliflower, Sweet Onion and Leek Quiche. It's really low cal and a delish breakfast or high protein snack!

Goetta is a breakfast sausage of likely German-American origin that is popular in the greater Cincinnati area. It is primarily composed of ground meat (pork, or pork and beef), pin-head oats and spices.[1] Pronounced gétt-aa, ged-da or get-uh Americanized pronunciation, this dish probably originated with German settlers from the northwestern regions of Oldenburg, Hannover, and Westphalia who emigrated to the Cincinnati area in the 19th century.
This is a modification of the MANY recipes out there. I like to pour the milk on afterwards, so I just make the whole thing with water and THEN have the milk as a separate ingredient.
The main thing is to whip eggs with sour cream or plain yogurt. Then pour that over any vegetable/meat mixture and let cook, covered, 20-30 mins. Voila!
For special occasions and cold mornings, this oatmeal is hearty and packed with good nutrients but it sure is calorie dense!
This is adapted from Jillian Michaels' Making The Cut book. She recommends sprouted grain bread, but I couldn't find any. She also uses 3 tsp (1 tbsp) Spelnda but I found that too sweet.
ingredients:
Honey, 2 tbsp (remove)
Almond Breeze Almond Milk, Unsweetened Vanilla, 8 oz (remove)
Ginger Root, 1 tsp (remove)
Chia Seed (Nutiva) 1 Tbsp, 2 tbsp (remove)
**Flax Seed Meal (ground flax), 2 tbsp (remove)
Apple, Gala (medium), 1 serving (remove)
Blueberries, frozen (unsweetened), 2 cup, unthawed (remove)
Spinach, fresh, 2 cup (remove)
Mix dry ingredients.
Mix wet ingredients.
Add wet to dry.
Pour into 8x8 pan and bake at 350 for 40ish minutes.
A healthier version of Belgium waffles, mostly because it uses whole wheat flour. Substitutions will make this even lower in fat/calorie, but waffles can be touchy, so be warned!
These are delicious and healthy. Great way to get some veges into the kiddos!
These pancakes are delicious and have the bonus of protein and fiber. Add some cinnamon and they taste like oatmeal cookies! Pair with low cal syrup or eat plain!
