My friend made a delicious dip like this at her daughter's birthday party and on St. Patty's day I decided to make my own.
This dish has some fresh veggies and healthy black beans with a little lean chicken. Philadelphia's Cooking Cream and some Mexican cheese top off the wonderful flavors.
This is a hearty corn chowder that is simple to make as well. Enjoy!!
I used to eat canned green beans all the time in college and later when I was doing the Suzanne Somers program I made up this recipe. It's always been a huge hit with my family and friends. I reduced the amount of butter, cream and cheeses now that I'm doing SP and it's still really good. It makes 5- 1/2 c servings. It's kind of like a green bean casserole w/out the mushrooms and crispy onions.
This originally had no rice, but I wanted to add some texture and make it more filling, so I added the rice. These are really moist and flavorful! Makes 8. I also used yellow and purple peppers. Try red, too.
My daughter doesn't like spicy things and the only sauce I had was a spicy red pepper sauce in the pantry. So, I decided to make her one.
I usually make a bean dip like this and seeing as how it was Cinco de Mayo, I figured I would make it for my family that was coming over. It was a nice addition to the other items on the menu.
One more unique left over Thanksgiving turkey recipe. Enjoy!
On the St. Louis Team Joudan gave a recipe she found for White Chicken Chili and this is it. I used yellow corn and white beans and also didn't have lemon pepper so had to improvise. It was a hit with everyone in the family even the 3 1/2 year old who had seconds! Makes 10 1/2 servings of 1 c each.
We used to get crab dip at Shop n Save back in the day of no dieting and non healthy eating and lately I have been craving crab, so...... Here is something I put together based on several other SP recipes and going on taste. I hope you enjoy. Makes 2 1/2 cups.
We had some leftover rye bread so I decided to make my own dill dip. 52.5 cal. per 2T serving is a whole lot better than the store's 120 cal.! I think I'll make this more often.
Once again we had some broccoli that to be used. This time it was because the produce co-op was the next day and who know what we will get in the box that will need to used up. My brain started ticking and this is what turned out. Enjoy!!
I got this original recipe from my Mother-in-Law's WW's book and left out a couple ingredients. It's hot and sweet! This is great served warm or cold.

This is so hearty that I had to reduce the serving size because I couldn't eat as much with my side of extra veggies (asparagus). This has mushrooms, carrots, onions and broccoli. Yum!
We were heading on a trip and I wanted to make a mix for the road. Next time I'll play with the ingredient amounts a bit more to make it more nutritious.
I got this recipe from a Taste of Home Cooking School I went to. I used parsley instead of cilantro and whole wheat noodles instead of oven ready white noodles. I lightened up most everything I could. It was a big hit at the playgroup potluck tonight! It makes 12 huge servings. I made it in to square glass dishes and froze one. They said to cook the frozen one straight from the freezer at 350 degrees for 1 hr 20 min instead of 375 degrees for 45 min. YUM!
I got this marinade from The 30 Day Gourmet book and cut out the ginger. I also used unsweetened pineapple juice and fat free italian dressing. Their version of Lite was 299 calories and 15 g of fat so I guess the pineapple juice really helps. This can be frozen as well.
I had seen a recipe for Pumkin Cake and decided to change it up just a bit. This is very moist and pretty easy to make.
I'm not sure how the calories really work with this recipe because I don't eat the cranberries, or oranges, we just use them for flavor. Hmmmm. I'm guessing it's a bit less.
Enjoy!
I've been wanting to have some spicy cornbread and when I made my delicious Crockpot Sausage, Shroom and Corn Chili and decided to give it a go. Enjoy!!
I saw this recipe on SP and decided to give it a try since we had several ingredients and also because I've been looking for a good black bean and corn salsa for a while.
I wanted to make some jazzed up Mexican rice and this wonderful dish is the result. It's colorful and easy to make if you have some cooked chicken breasts, too.

I've discovered a liking for pumpkin and am now trying all sorts of things with it. These cookie bars are from a pouch with all sorts of goodies thrown in. YUM!
I saw a SP recipe for using soda and Devil's Food Cake, pumkin and Devil's Food Cake and upon shopping for the devil's food cake I noticed the calorie count on the brownies, so I decided to try this. Without the walnuts it's 55.8 cal, 1.1 fat, 12.8 carbs, 1.2 fiber and .8 protein. I put it in my 9 x 13 dish and made 24 pieces.
I got a recipe from Taste of Home in my e-mail that sounded pretty good the other day and decided to experiment. My family loved it!
