One of these days when I have time, I'll figure out how to make a delicious orange sauce from scratch. For now, I just use Panda Express Orange Sauce we got from Costco. Veggies can be anything you have on hand. The ones in the recipe list are just what I had in my fridge at the time. I like snap peas when I have them.
I use a light coating of flour, but do not deep fry for this recipe, so it is figure friendly! I'm estimating on the quantity of the spices - I just kind of add them to a bowl until it tastes good to me! Adjust to suit your taste. Try it with Chinese five spice. I couldn't find my Chinese five spice, so I used Jamaican allspice!
Whilst this is a soup, it is a large portioned meal of less than 200 calories!!
If you use a sweetened peanut butter, omit the brown sugar (or greatly reduce it). Mine had no added sugar.
You can add whatever vegetables you like.
Red Wine or Rice vinegar can be used instead of Cider.
If the peanut butter sauce is too runny, add some cornstarch and microwave for 1 min, then stir.
