A lower carb, lower sugar version of banana bread that relies more on the natural sweetness of the banana. Less dense texture than many banana breads. 21g total carb with only 5.6g sugar per serving
1.wash butter lettuce head and separate into individual leaves
2. slice turkey breast into matchsticks
3. slice red bell pepper into matchsticks. (it can also be roasted and peeled prior to slicing)
4. slice tomato
6. slice cheese into matchsticks
Pretty tasty! I think the next time I make it I will add Italian seasoning to the dough. Just for some extra flavor. I did not have a ful cup of wheat gluten flour so I just used 1/2 cup of vital wheat gluten and 1 cup of stone ground whole wheat flour. This change will make the counts different, but not sure how to figure it out.
This is my version of The 50 Calorie Whole Wheat Pancake, I made a few changes that made it more suitable for a low carb breakfast.
